Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

I'm loving the matte/flat black contrasting with the Lunar Rock. Hope to chrome delete this weekend.

 

Just put a deposit on a 2022 Lunar Rock Sport DCSB 4x4 this evening. Should arrive by the end of the month. Looking forward to being back in a Tacoma. Took a two year hiatus when I sold my 2010 I had driven for 11 years.

 

Picked up Tuesday.

 

What sliders/steps are those? Lookin good!

 

thanks man. They’re actually OEM; I had no idea I was getting that style. It might be a new version Toyota offers. They def offer no protection on trails though.

They’re aluminum with some sort of rough coating; almost like a rhino shield. Here is a close-up:

 

Long bed off road with led headlights, now you’re just rubbing it in to us Canadians.

It’s a Sherpa Equipment rack. The only wind noise I notice is when the sunroof shade is open. I may have had a hit to mpg but I added 285’s around the same time so I can’t quantify it. I posted a video that details the rack

I think the price went up last month. It was $350 cheaper last year when I purchased it

 

Here is my lunar longboi. Got a new ome kit installed today and loving the improved handling and aesthetics.

 

Waited for what seemed like forever but here's my Lunar Rock 2022 OR 6MT. I immediately switched out the shoes for the 4runner TRD pro wheels with Cooper Discoverer ATP II tires. 265/65/17. The LR and black combination looks better than I've been imagining it. Now I have to sell my OEM's.

Next up are side rails/steps to make it easier to get in. Not a big fan of the look of predator steps, and I'm not doing the kind of wheeling that requires sliders. I'm considering tube steps or running boards

 

Congrats man! I’m loving that LR black combo as well. The blackout badges are working for me. Keep us posted on any other black goodies you add.

 

Got a Snugtop Sport Hi-Liner on the LR. Color match is really good, hot wired light and USB ports came with the install - no more batteries like in the Leer I had on the 2ng gen.

Also, parked next to a Ranger with their color rendition - you can really see the difference in the color. Like the LR much much more.
