Had jury duty once; I was the first to get kicked from the panel. A 5-0 friend of mine was living with me at the time, ex-gf was the arresting officer, and I vaguely knew of the defendant. Took my $3.10 and off I went.

A buddy of mine though, he got picked for Grand Jury Duty. Has to go into the courthouse once or twice a week after work for several months. Talk about annoying.

Last time I went I ran into a friend of mine, I said oh you have it today too? He said I wish it was just today, he was on grand jury duty once a week for a year. He said it was the same people coming through the system.

A local policeman told me once "If we could get rid of 10-12 families in town that would take away 80% of our calls."

I forget how long his service period was but it was long. I don't think it was a year, but might have been 6 mo. Wouldn't surprise me on repeat offenders though.

That's what I tell my kids, the police won't bother you as long as you don't give them a reason to bother you.

@Jtcmedic @Kilo Charlie I talked to a friend at church Sunday who is a city fireman, we got to talking about the station my dad was at before he retired and several other things. He said he moved over to the air unit cause the station he was at was approaching 3,000 calls for the year (they have 31 stations). He ask was I still volunteering and I said no, been out for a while. He said it's crazy now, out in the county where we are they are sending a medic unit with one person and a fireman has to drive them to the hospital cause they can't find help cause they aren't paying enough

I remember a few times where that happened when I was there but it was usually a person who worked for EMS anyway who would drive and one of us would go pick them up. We had close to 40 volunteers back then though, they probably don't have 10 now, probably less than that.

My wife worked with a surgeon that was trying to sell his house because he moved to Texas. He had the house listed for $2M. Then it dropped to $1.5, then $1.1M. I think the last time I saw it before it wasn't on the market anymore it was at $995,000.

The problem is when you get to houses that expensive, people don't want YOUR house with your design choices. They want THEIR house. If they can afford a $1M+ house, they can afford an architect to design exactly what they want.

Same! It always surprises me how much heat they put off. Every bulb in my house is LED now, they've come a long way since the hospital feel they had when they were first produced.

That explains my failure- the small space between the magnets and the top side of the flywheel, maybe a 1/4" gap was plugged up with dust and oil soaked. The fins on the machine were plugged up with oil soaked grass. This thing will run so much cooler once it's back together. Degreased the whole engine and pressure washed it. I do always keep the fan and grill clean, it gets a compressed air bath after every mow.

How heavy is the bell? Braze it if not too heavy?

Might be an opportunity to make a whole new hanger instead of the constant repairs- that's probably the route I'd go if I really liked the bell.

I've repaired several of these over the years, they are cheap chineseum cast. They never get used, just for decoration. I think this one got dropped is why it broke.

    4 fittings, $60!

I'm only installing them so the next change out will be easier.
