So! Has anyone been able to find a plug-n-play In Motion Bypass wire harness for the JBL Entune 3.0? I have been looking around for a while now, but I only seem to find the anytime Front & Rear Camera harness. Which is cool but I want to be able to see text messages, album covers and enter destinations while driving. And if I could get the startup warning message to never populate again that would be great.

Regarding the startup message, that will go away on its own after a few seconds.

Everything else, I haven't seen anything.

Would you be interested in running AndroidAuto or Apple CarPlay? I don't know why ANYONE with a smartphone that is relatively new would want to use any navigation besides Google Maps. Not sure as an alternative if Waze exists for Apple iPhones. For Android phones, it works well.

I tested a Motorola MA1 dongle tonight in my '19 Subaru Outback, and was able with my Android V12 phone, have a completely wireless connection to the head unit. I hope to use the dongle in my truck when I receive it. But you don't need to use a wireless connection to the head-unit, just a USB cable plugged into the dash USB connector (the ones in the arm-rest storage area are for charging only).

With AA (I cannot comment on CarPlay as I have an Android based phone), I can simply press the speak button on the steering wheel and say something like: "Navigate to Home Depot Near me", and Google responds with the nearest stores, I select the one I want, and off I go.
I can also dictate Text messages to send to people in my contact list, and have ones I receive read back to me.

If you have a newer Smartphone, I recommend you give that method a try.

If you have music content on your phone, there are a number of Audio programs that allow you to play that music. And you have access to Pandora, Spotify, and TuneIn.

@ktbell444 - I know - I'm impatient, but after say the first 10 times you start the vehicle it get's old and I would like it very much if I never had to see it again. LoL

@stftaco - True the phone navigation is the best way to get around and the apps to add tunes to the radio, but I am asking for this as a "would be nice to have" thing. I don't always like to go through the rigamaroo of connecting the phone through Bluetooth (seems like I do not drive it often enough for it to stay connected each and every time automatically, and then I have to go to the phone and reconnect and sync to the radio a lot of the time) and when listening to SXM radio stations I cannot hear the directions from my phone unless I switch to the Bluetooth source, I am sure I could just use the SXM app on the phone and then I would hear the directions but wouldn't be able to change the station with the steering wheel so there it is again a whole rigamaroo. I just want to hop in and go. This is my third Tacoma with the Entune radio first two had 2.0 (which has an In Motion Bypass available on the market) and now this one I have with the 3.0, and I am familiar with push to talk which doesn't seem to be getting any better when it comes to articulating what it is that I am saying, and then when it reads texts out loud it does so softly and I cannot hear what it said, I would just like to see the text on the radio screen (even when I am driving) and for some reason the custom quick response text that I put into the radio are not always available to use, not sure what is actually causing that.

I can’t be any help, but I hear you about the start up warning.
Also you can change the text read out volume. There’s a separate settings menu when you are in the messages app

I am not sure I will convince you, however, I have found that with AA, at least in my Subaru, there are a few volumes that are actually distinct, like the media volume is separate from the Maps navigation volume, (and I think the call volume) and you have to adjust them independently such that when you are listening to music, and a google maps turn is announced, it is of the proper volume.

You might want to Google it. Sometimes the coordination is a bit wonky. Agreed. I can't drive in a new place without AndroidAuto now that I am used to it. I can't believe we used to deal with road atlases and folding maps. I can do everything I need to do hands free.

If you have a smartphone, and if your headunit supports AndroidAuto and/or Apple CarPlay. Give it a chance.

And I have tried over the past few days with this new Motorola MA1 dongle I got online from Target, to just jump in the Subaru and go. Connects automatically, about 20sec later, AA boots up on the Infotainment screen, and I didn't have to plug anything in.

And so I'm hoping in the Tacoma (please ship to the dealer, please ship), I can just throw my phone on the wireless charger and off I go. :burnrubber:
