A little something every chance we get.
The 90's are HERE! We're excited about the cold!

Darn Tom! What a month. The best in Karma to all of you!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Ah, a morning I don't have to hit the road right off! Both Doc visits went very well, dropped off a fan at my sons workplace (that I forgot when we met for lunch Monday), found some cheap Shell gas, and made some Phillies for dinner. Back at the yard, greenhouse, garage, under the hood......a long list of minor putzes! Watering night, so come on rain!!!

Sorry about the passing of your friend, our pets are such a large part of our lives and it leaves a empty space when they are gone.

    Great news about your wife!

Good thought, karma, prayers for you both - I'm equal opportunity that way, whatever works.

    Morning all:
Sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy Tom. :(
On the flip side, glad to hear the wife is back home and on the mend, and take care of that knee and it may last more than 10 years.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/lurkers. Oppressive weather finally broke here, :woot: Dew point is down to 65 degrees, which is at the cusp between 'comfortable' and 'miserable', so it is still humid but at least it's not 73 degrees like it was for the past week. Plus the temperature has settled down a few degrees. I actually feel like going outside and doing stuff today.

We got the bill for the well pump -- the pump by itself was over $2200!!! :goingcrazy:

Ditto all that. We've suffered a lot of loss over the past 2 years, humans and pets. None of it is ever easy. But we wake up the next day and the sun comes up just like before.

Glad to hear your wife is home and on the mend. Being home is better for healing than the hospital with all the commotion there. Positive thoughts and prayers for you and your wife for continued healing.

    Greetings folks,

Yesterday my wife and I left Manchester, NH on a much over due vacation (like over a decade); this morning we landed at Keflavik in Iceland, enjoyed the cool low 40s temperatures for a couple of hours, then hopped on another plane and landed in Manchester, UK which we'll be using as our base of operations for the next week before we pop back up to Iceland for another five days.

Good to be in non-work mode for a while. :)

    Evening all:
    Enjoy the vacation Dave!

Just saw where a 17 year old boy from the Lehigh Valley was pulled into a woodchipper and died from his injuries, that does not sound like a good way to go! :( Unfortunately, he is not the first, and probably won't be the last, you need to be vigilant when working with one of those.

Sorry to hear about your pooch Tom. I lost a six year old golden when he ate a tennis ball and it lodged in his intestine. My girlfriend at the time was pretty upset about the 1300 bucks not the dog. Glad I figured that out. Miss that dog never miss that girl. Dogs are family. Period. Stupid cats too! Love them silly creatures…….

Sorry for your family's loss Tom. Happy the wife is on the mend and wishing both you and your wife speedy recoveries.

Sounds like a wonderful vacation Dale. Post up a few pics when you get the time. I would like to go to Iceland while I still have time.

The Kenny Chesney concert last night was terrific and loud. I still have a noise in my ears. LOL That was the last of the pre-Covid concerts. Next up is Alan Jackson in Atlantic City this October. We tacked on an extra day to visit Asbury Park, NJ. We have tickets for a Bruce Springstein concert in DC next year. As a Vietnam Vet Bruce Springstein was the first person, I ever heard thanking us Vietnam Vets in public. This was in 1984, believe it or not he helped me feel proud of my service for the first time. PTSD takes on many disguises and feeling shame for your service is one of them. I am long over feeling shame and now I do what I can to help any veteran in my community that needs help. Corney, I know, but I never want to see what happened to me happen to any other veteran.

Sense of taste is coming back, appetite is improving as well. I still get the cough at the end of the day and night sweats. But getting a little better everyday now it seems. The weather is cooler here now and that helps.

Travlr, I'm tuning up my GPS routes for my ATV trip again in September. We do about 290 miles on a loop from Marysvale back to Salina, Salina down to Circleville, and Circleville back to Marysvale then head north back the to valley. I'll be staying 2 nights at the Quality Inn by the Maverik and Dennys in your neck of the woods. I'll be busy with the other 6 couples I'm traveling with but if our schedules work maybe we can meet and say "hello". Looks like Sept 7th and/or 8th.
