    Hey there. From San Antonio
Just recently bought a 2019 Tacoma White SR5 4x4 and having second thoughts on it already.
Wanted to come here looking for some advice on the buy.

It’s had 3 previous owners and I’m currently the 4th one.

About 94k miles on it already and has had a minor accident on the rear left or right side can’t remember at the moment.

Kind of caught off guard on how slow or sluggish it feels when driving at 60-70mphs which I get after reading reviews.

but wondering if I should return it seeing that it has so many miles in just a few years.

any thought or advice will help!

You purchased it right? Return.. sounds like buyer remorse. It does have quite a bit of mileage and 3 owners in 3 years would have been a turn off to me. With all that said, I like Tacomas (I have had two) and wouldn’t buy another manufacturers truck. Sounds like it’s 2.7 like mine. I bought it for an occasional trip to lumber yard, haul a few things to the dump or pick up firewood. Mine works for me but everyone has different expectations. Good luck with .. returning it.

    3 previous owners - I dunno...

    I never buy used.
I have paid more in the long run.
    Or perhaps not.

I buy new, I keep it nice, I keep it maintained, I drive them for not less than 10 years.
I plan on keeping my 2021 Tacoma until I kick-the-bucket.... and my son is hoping for sooner rather than later LOL.

I got a 2003 and 2004 Corolla that each of the kids still drive.

Yeah guys I just bought it on Monday. Seemed a little too good to be true. I’m happy with it but at the same time I’m not.

i know they’re decent truck’s and for the used price it didn’t seem bad cuz it has 4x4.

i want a newer one but I’m not too sure about the price tags on the new ones.

i will see what they say when I tried and return it. Will update later on it

Yup, 3 owners in 3 years, that would be a red flag already. Someone else's problem is now your problem. I don't buy used anymore for that reason.

Is this buyers remorse something you typically experience when buying a used car or is it just this particular vehicle? BTW, buying used vehicles is always a crap shoot!

Buying used does not bother me, however 3 owners is a lot in 3 years. I hope that you at least pulled a CarFax on the VIN. That is really the only way to view history and it is not perfect. If any owner made repairs outside of insurance, there is a good chance you will not see it on CarFax. Having said that, if the maintenance WAS done, it is probably fine. All Tacos are going to be sluggish - nature of the truck.

My 2006 Tundra TRD Sport (no decals) was a former executive care with 14K when I bought it in 2008. It had 231K on it when I traded it. My current 2019 SR5 DCSB had 9,800 on it when I bought in in 2020. I bought at the right time and it's been great. Now just under 57K on it. Only issues were the fuel pump and leaking 3rd brake light recalls.

Maybe owner #1 dumped it after the 36k warranty expired.
And #2 dumped after the 60k powertrain warranty
And #3 dumped it before it hit 100k?

Mileage scares some people. I know people that won’t keep a vehicle once the warranty has run out.

I say keep it. If it made it to 90k, it’s probably going to be just fine.
It seems most have major problems within 60k. And the is IF they have any problems at all.

Are you making payments on this near 100k mile vehicle? I hope not. If something major goes wrong, you have a car payment and a vehicle that is expensive to repair. The engine, trans, diffs on this truck are very expensive.

On top of that it's had an accident and been repaired. Would be a no from me, unless it was ultra dirt cheap.

So the total price off the lot was 35k with ttl and gap insurance. Haven’t gotten the full carfax report, just that it has the minor rear accident and has been repaired. I assume by a reputable dealership or collision center.

another thing is I plan on getting warranty on it and I’m making payments on it since I financed the purchase thru my local credit union.
Yeah I think it’s buyers regret just on this truck due to it’s history really.

i trust it will last but iffy that it has been ran this much in the last 3 yeasa

If you buy a lower mileage Tacoma, you don't need gap insurance. They typically stay near or above the original sale price for years to come. If possible, I would return that truck. Doesn't sound like a good deal IMO.

If you have the option to return it, I would.

I live up in the northeast where tacomas fetch top dollar and for what you paid you should be able to get a sub 50k SR5 for that price.

Cars really start to lose value when you go over the 100k mark. Your gonna end up very upside down on the loan unless you put a chunky down payment.

I agree - you significantly overpaid for a high mileage truck. RETURN if not too late.

Can you legally return a vehicle that you’ve purchased?
I seriously don’t know. I always thought you couldn’t unless it fell under a lemon law or something?

After a Google search some states have a buyers remorse law, 3 days to return. Looks like Texas isn't one of them.

You know there is a decent chance that this Taco will serve the OP well. Don't make it sound like he definitively bought a worn out piece of shit.
