Do you see this size coming to an end in the near future?

 

This size has a rather large following and popularity with several niche vehicle markets, the tire manufacturers are rather in tune with this so although we cannot speak on behalf of the industry, it is not likely that this size will be phased out. At least not any time in the near future.

 

I've heard whispers of 265/70R17 having shortages, obviously a much popular oem size, is there any merit to these rumors'?

 

Over the past few years we have seen a shortage of most everything at some point. Most major and long term backorders were on tires over 35". Although recently we have seen many of these becoming available again.
