Similar short block, but totally different top end/cylinder head from what i understand. Not sure looks like there isnt much of a market for it unfortunately. Maybe as time goes on though more folks will be interested in developing stuff for the 2TR platform. It sure would be nice to have some aftermarket support, but i'm not holding my breath

I have one that I used for mock-up. The metallurgy is garbage.

If I had another truck to test with, I have a couple different designs I could try.

Already have a Magnuson supercharger installed on our 07 reg cab, thinking about what to do with the neglected 05 reg cab we just picked up from Portland. Here’s a short video that the tuner’s son did on the Magnuson supercharger on our 07. You can enlarge it to see it better and make sure to tab on the volume Icon in the lower right corner.

IDK, All I know is they have been waiting on Magnuson to supply the blowers. They got like 47 blowers in but they were all spoken for on the 3RZ kits from what I understand. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you know who to call I guess it wouldn’t hurt to call. Also my .02 cents if you purchase one install a Snow 2.5 Water Methanol kit it comes with a boost gauge, the first tuner told me to buy the Snow 3 kit with braided lines, it’s over kill! Also make sure to get the Heltech from Gabe. He will load a base tune then will make tweaks to it. You will need a Windows laptop to run the tuning program.
Speed cost money, so how fast do you want to go?

Got the shifter swapped out for a Hurst 0090 stick today. Had to go with a taller stick after doing the body lift. It was hitting the console in 2nd, 4th and Reverse. Fits way better now, the one that came with the Core shifter always seemed a little short to me. Throws are a little longer and feels a bit more like a truck now, but it im liking it so far. Now just need to figure out how to fit two more shifters in there without sacrificing the cup holders

Did some gusseting for the future 4wd trans crossmember. Capped the ends with some 3/16” flat bar and tig welded the areas where they did not from the factory. Still waiting on the 1/4” steel plate for the top cap to come in, but it’s coming along nicely so far

Is that shifter in an even gear? If so, you could always cut a small v-notch in it, and bend it towards the dash to where you like it. Then finish weld it.

Hahah nothing special here, i just clamped it on there while I was moving stuff around

Yes with the old shifter it was in second. That’s a great idea, I may have to modify when I add the other two t-case shifters so I’ll be keeping this in mind:thumbsup:

Added some new Ark splash guards today since the old ones no longer fit after the 1” body lift. Pretty pleased with fitment and quality. We’ll see how they hold up over the long term.

@05Taco4x4 can you confirm the side facing up in the picture is the side that should be facing forward on the trans crossmember please sir? I am getting ready to drill the holes in the crossmember and I want to make sure I’ve got this right

Ok so I could see forward leading edge of mine is flat, couldn't really tell if back side was radiused like one in pic above. Thinking more about it, doesn't really matter since you're making a custom crossmember as long as everything bolts up.
