Hello All, I just wanted to say hello and that I am new to this site.

I found this site asking a question on my clutch on my 2002 Tacoma, boy is it nerve wracking.
I have 189000 and started hearing this on and off for a while now.

    Thanks in advance.

You probably just need a new clutch kit. Is that the original clutch?

    When does it squeak?

    Is it constant?

    Only when moving the pedal?

Only when fully up or down?

    How loud?

    What kind of squeak?

    More info needed.

Just when I engage to shift, it stays in gear it doesn't slip.

Probably the pilot or throw out bearing if it's only when shifting.

The horizontal clutch pedal return spring grommet is shot. Do the lineal spring mod. Try dry lube on the end of the clutch slave cylinder rod where it meets the clutch fork.
