    Any other Hawkeyes heading out to Silver Lake for the Toyota takeover? I had a blast out there last year. It’s the only some what off roading I have done. Stock works great!

    There were a lot of cars totaled by that hail. I was on the edge of the storm in West Des Moines and ended up with maybe 8 very small dents on the hood of the taco. The largest hail I saw was maybe golf ball size. A mile away at Valley West Mall, my sister-in-laws 3 month old BMW will probably be totaled. Busted the sun roof, windshield, rear window. And not just cracked, but holes through the windshield! They estimated baseball size hail over there.

    I was eating on a patio and hail rolled through here Saturday. The stuff that hit us bounce off my truck but less than 2 mi down the road cars were shattered and destroyed just like you're describing. And they were on the interstate. Scary AF

    Hello Iowa Taco Owners,

    Within the next few months we will be moving from Denver to the Des Moines Metro Area, my wife is from Ankeny so I know the area well. Do you recommend that I get an undercoat application on my Taco before I move there? Here is CO we do not have rust problems but I would think that with the humidity and use of salt on the roads in the winter that rust can be a problem in Iowa.
