Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Since we have a Roku TV, I only have to worry about the power cord and it's twisty-tied up out of the way.

 

We have a ROKU sitting at the TV, with a wii and a DVD player. I need to straighten it up sometime.

 

Just put a towel over it

Pretty sure its ugly for everyone! Good work. Did you have to put it in heat after welding to control cooling? I've never welded cast but heard it will crack on you if it cools too fast

 

I welded it and walked away. I heard it crack and welded it again, and again. It didn't crack much but was visible. I don't have anything to wrap it in or put it in to control the cool down but that would have helped it for sure

A lot of times it will crack beside where you weld, this cracked in the middle of the weld.

It probably would have helped if I preheated it with the hot wrench but I didn't.

 

That is across the board of everything, it's sad.

 

We sat down and countless sprains and strains, I gave 3 burns , 2 back surgeries ,tip of a finger and chunk out of my face over the last22 years. Friends I’ve made priceless

Yes sir, my hat is off to fire, EMS, police, military, etc.

I watched my dad in the FD growing up and the friends he had who would help him reroof the house, work on the barn, etc. and he would go and do the same with them. I have many friends in the FD and it's the same with them

 

Today's goal is to finish this engine swap. Lots of sparkling oil and a real sweet rattle. but I'll probably end up getting pulled off of it 6 or 12 times and not finishing. Oh well.
