A/C clutch replacement on 2002 3.4l

    I replaced mine in the vehicle by unbolting it and turning it upwards. Like the others have mentioned, it is NOT fun or easy. I tried every type of snap ring pliers I could find and ended up using small screw drivers.

    Glad to see I wasn't the only one who had a hard time with the snap ring.

    2.5 inch Bilstein 5100 lift and 3 leaf progressive springs w/Pro Comp 69 series wheels and BFGoodrich K/O2 265/75R16's
    So to update everyone, I did end up getting the ac clutch off while still attached to the truck and I did end up buying those angled snap ring pliers and it helped but I accidentally got the internal pliers, so get the external pliers instead, I fiddled with it for a few minutes on each ring but got them out but there was one hiccup, you can't really reach the grounding screw so I just cut it and spliced it with the new clutch wire but for the most part it took 3 hours tops.
