We had 3 vans at my job that had their cats stolen. Buttholes cut a hole in a fence, cut out the cats, got away scot free.

Company repaired the fence, replaced the cats, and 3 days later, same buttholes came back, cut the same spot in the fence, stole the cats again.

Then the company got cheap, and threw in garbage aftermarket cats, and the stupid vans threw P0420 codes, and they sat unusable in our yard for like 9 months.

Then, they got new OEM cats put in, and the program those vans were for got shut down...

Final 'wtf hahaha' moment... My manager went to exchange the insurance cards from the vans sitting in the yard... Couldn't find the keys to one of them. Finally, went to the van, and found the keys were in it.

    In the ignition.

Which was in the 'on' position.

Turns out, a maint guy forgot to shut the van off. And it idled through 28 gallons of gas. It needed the battery replaced, 28 fresh gallons of gas, and the cat from that van got stolen again. SMH.
