Hi there I had a quick question about the TRD supercharger on my 3.4L.

Is it normal to hear it whining under acceleration/ load?

It's quiet when idling and when easy driving but the noise does kick in when driving up a hill or moderate acceleration. Obviously the more boost the louder it becomes.

    That's how superchargers work.

Take it you just bought the truck?

Yes some whine is normal, but if you don't know the history of the vehicle you should probably do a blower snout oil change.

I remember the service manager swinging by my office to come grab me when our first Hellcat arrived.

I was the second person to drive that thing (before it even went through PDI) and damn was it fun.

First person was the service manager moving it from one spot to another

I figured it was normal and working as should be. But I just had it at the shop for a timing belt and the mechanic wasn't sure if this particular supercharger should be that loud. So I figured I would ask the experts haha.

Also where would I find this blower snout oil location?

It's not normal at all. You should remove it immediately and ship it to me. :anonymous:

Noise? That’s beautiful music right there. No need to even have a radio. :)
