quality control isn't what it used to be.
Materials aren't as robust as they used to be.
New designs look cool ...but they open up a myriad of issues.

Modern factories are so heavily automated, and parts are sourced from all over the world, does geographical location even matter? It seems to me the critical component is now in the design of the parts rather than where the parts are built.

Really enjoying my 2022 SR5 assembled in Baja. Quality feels top shelf to me.

I don't see how it matters if it's built by Jose on the Mexico assembly or Jose on the Texas assembly line. Same components being assembled with the same type of robots on the same type of assembly line with the same quality of employee.

OP I would be more worried about your truck being deported than having any issues. Sell for a loss and go buy a ford ranger!

I think Jose in Mexico works a bit harder than Jose in Texas because working for Toyota Factory in Mexico is actually a good job compared to what other options there are in Mexico, this attracts better laborers.

So a loose foam strip plus failing to put it on recirculate once in a while = wow they dont make them like they used to.

    Got it.
