First time Tacoma owner!

Hi everyone,

Just going through the motions to get into my first Tacoma! Waiting for it to arrive the dealership, paperwork signed, etc. I've always been a hatchback guy (VW GTI mainly) and am really excited for my first pickup.

I'm sure if I did some digging around Tacoma World there are good places to start with Tacoma ownership but would love to hear from you all where I should start, what mods/accessories I absolutely need and any other advice you may have for a first-timer like me.

Any and all help is much appreciated and looking forward to getting to know everyone as I start this journey with my new Tacoma

Ask a neighbor if you can have numerous large boxes delivered to their house without your spouses knowing.

There is nothing you absolutely need.

Especially when you dont tell us how you will use the vehicle.

Use it as is, and make modifications to alter what you feel should be better.

PS. Live in salt country? Treat your frame, inside and out, to a rust preventer like Cosmoline, Fluid Film, etc. That you absolutely need.

This is extremely helpful. Luckily I'm single so can pour all my funds into it directly!

 

I live in Philly so lot of city driving/hauling and the like. Appreciate the feedback.

 

Then you would like a bed mat, under rail bed lighting from @mattgecko and maybe an extra set of tie downs under the front bed bolts. (will require cutting out a bit of mat).

Definitely frame protection. Not rubberized 'undercoating' but the good stuff as previously mentioned.
