None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
Hey everyone! I just finalized a deal for a new Limited Nightshade Magnetic Grey double cab 4x4 5ft bed Tacoma. It's due to arrive in the next few days so I'm really excited. I've been driving a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO that I love! It has been a pleasure to drive and live with but it's time to move on! I did a bunch of research and knowing I needed the practicality of a truck I explored them all. As much as I will miss the performance, comfort and amenities of my SHO, I am looking forward to getting this new truck! I have never owned a Toyota, but have owned Dodge, Jeep, BMW, Mazda, VW, and Ford so I have no particular favorite, I believe every major car maker has made some great cars and I think I have owned a few of them. Some of the things that got me to spend my money on the Tacoma include the overall reliability, the ability to do a lot of maintenance on my own (like a traditional parking brake, etc) and also, I like the look of them, especially the Nightshade version I am purchasing. I looked very closely at the TRD Pro and TRD Off Road models but, honestly, I just don't go off roading so I thought those might be a bit of a waste of my money. I would have preferred to have the 6ft bed but in the current new car sales environment I wasn't sure that was achievable in the next 4 months. I look forward to learning all about my new truck and will likely be doing a few things in the near future. One of the first things is to get some side steps, then I need to get a temporary box shell for some long distance hauling I need to do. I won't be keeping a shell on it so I thought one of the vinyl ones would be just the thing for the occasional use.

Got some great news today, my truck has arrived at the dealership! Scheduled to turn over a check for what I owe and take it home tomorrow afternoon! Got both the Predator Side steps and a bed mat for a combined 587.66, not bad. For those wondering the truck was originally due to arrive on the 25th of July but according to my dealer they have been running about a week late, mine of course is two weeks late, but it's here now so I'm eager to get it home and install those running steps!
