    Fellas any tips for getting the total chaos 3.5” LT shaft in to the CV outter? That fucking ring keeps spreading!

    oh its a mother fucker sometimes for sure. trying to remember if theres anything i did last time to make it easier. i think if make sure the c clip is facing down and grease her up good.

    yup, have done that to drive the shaft in to the diff housing itself(opening towards the ground and give it a good ol push). What I am talking about is if there’s something to drive the extended shaft(the one provided with the 3.5” race kit that requires the full service and disassembly of the cv shaft. That rings seems to be oddly way too open

    Pull the clip off and crimp it down some so it’s “free” width is a little tighter. Try to get it started all the way around with a pick tool and then smack the other end with a rubber mallet.

    When I assembled my new axles, I just used a new oem c clip on the shaft and it popped right into the outer cv joint. I may have tapped it on with a brass hammer but I don’t recall specifics, just that it really didn’t take much effort. I was pleasantly surprised.

    Comes with everything you need to rebuild one cv axle. Both boots, clamps, grease and clips. I bought them to assemble my 934s.

    and 4342504040 is the part number for the c clip. As far as I remember they use the same c clip on the shaft into the diff as the outer.

    If that’s the case that would be nice because it appears the outer joint c clip can’t be ordered on its own.

    Judging by this pic, the two C clips are different. The axle has three c clips on it. One holds the outer joint onto the shaft, one holds the inner joint onto the shaft, and one holds the axle assembly in the diff.

    Since the fox LT coil overs i have have an internal 1/2 spacer in them would it be a bad idea to strap at bottom out of the shock since it has that internal spacer so i could gain an additional .25 of shock droop?
