I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Your location has no effect on the lead time. Quality at a low cost will take more time that's with any industry. We provide some of the highest quality parts on the market at a much lower price than the competition.
We do have an option to not wait, but if your going to take what little family time I have away me you will pay for it. https://www.bayareametalfab.com/Expedited-Fabrication-_p_201.html

Yeah if we didn't have to work under margin all the time Id have more fabricators, shorter lead times and more in stock items. But everyone only tends to order when "onsale" so it's what we are stuck in at the moment. Hopefully with the move to the new shop in July we will be able to knock the lead times down and not have to run sale after sale just to make numbers.

I always found this argument humorous, “Quality.” what is considered quality when everyone is using the same steel? What's considered “quality” when everyone is using the same CNC and press breaks? What's considered “Quality” when everyone is using the same welding machines and CAD software?

The only real difference in “quality” is customer service and how quickly you can deliver a product. Unlike the jeep market you aren’t competing with Chinese steel from Smittybilt.

I’ve had everything from BAMF, Marlin, ATH, Archive, Mobtown, C4, WarFab, Slee, and others and no one vendor was higher “quality” than any other.

The quality comes from the skilled Fabricator making the products. Good Fabricators are very hard to come by . Not all companies products are equal as far as build quality and fitment. Paying attention to Weld quality, fit and finish play a big roll on the end product especially a bumper.

And all the companies you mentioned above have a lead time on thier products as well. All of us are in the same boat we care enough to not rush the process and are picky on who makes said products. None of us just let any welder make these parts. A Fabricator needs a lot of torch time to prefect thier craft before they can build automotive parts.

We both know that weld quality can’t be determined by aesthetics. I’ve had my welds crack from vendors mentioned above, and no one is going to cross cut their bumper or whatever to ensure proper penetration. You aren’t wrong that it’s important to have a good fabricator/welder but again, everyone is using “quality” fabricators.

If the difference between the placement of a bolt hole (fit and finish) is the litmus test of “highest quality” then the bar is very low, again everyone is using CAD.

I think we all appreciate that you do your best and try to bring your best to the market. There is no real way to prove you bring a “higher quality” product than others so it just comes across as “my steel is better than their steel”

Are these still being fabricated??? If so, what is the current lead time?
