Looking for reasonably priced truck shell/cap

I have a 2014 white Tacoma Reg cab. So love this truck. So far I have had good luck with this truck. Had bought it brand new off the lot. Just right for a short person like me. live in Phoenix, AZ. Finding that they start at over $2600 (Cab-Hi). Not finding any used ones.

Check out the 2nd gen marketplace on this site, Craigslist, and FB marketplace. I scoured all of those for weeks looking every day for a deal and eventually found an off color cap for only $450. Just takes time, patience, and perseverance. Good luck!

It used to be possible to find used ones in the $200-$300 range. Finding one in a matching color might take a while. But things have really changed and I'm not sure what they are going for anymore. Just for reference, I paid $700 for my Leer cap new in 2007.

I don't really like them, but you might want to look at the soft tops. They run $700-$900 new. They still make new aluminum caps. They aren't as aesthetically pleasing but are much cheaper than fiberglass. Lighter too. You can put them on and off by yourself.
