Decided to build an rack over the softopper. Didn’t like any of the available options on the market and decided to give it a go myself. Built with a grinder and borrowed welder, my first welding project since high school. Went with 3in 3/16 angle for the base, 1 1/2 square 3/16 tubing for the uprights and 1in 3/16 angle for the top.

Still waiting for the T-Slot for the crossbars, will update when its all put together. E6018418-01D6-440D-B05C-C451468E65DD.jpg5E99FD64-FA26-4AC0-AB4A-B451F0EAB2EE.jpg4A2556E2-D26D-48AF-BDA5-FDF611C1B8FF.jpgFCF81A1F-D703-457E-8036-BF79E31E9A6C.jpg

Yes it is. That was a test fit, making sure I had some what close to the right dimensions.

Ended up finishing the rack up a few weeks back and finally put it to use. Finished off the top with 5 T-Slot across the top. Holds the RTT no problem, held together through 100 mi or so of rough forest track in Nor Cal.
