So this past spring I had trouble with my truck, it wouldn't shift out of 4wd.,so I took the t-case actuator apart and took the gears out, pushed the shifting rod in 2wd,put the lid back on it and plugged the wires and vacuum hose up and drove it. Fast forward to today, put the gears back in,made sure they were in time and put it all back together. It will shift into both 4 hi and 4 lo, it won't shift out of 4wd, same problem as before, anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Are you sure you don't have a problem with the ADD actuator? Tcase issues are pretty uncommon. ADD are relatively common.
