Seems we have similar hobbies, if that fortifies your thinking. Parking is easier and even light off roading is easier when you need to make sharp turns or better break over.

Total BS. We are all just fools paying these kind of prices.

Just my take, but usually if guys have to ask if the price of a pro is too much, they can't afford one in the first place.

Went to my dealer a few months ago for service on my wife's Prius and was wandering around while I waited. They had a new 2021 Tundra Crewmax with a spacer lift, A/T tires and new wheels (forget which wheels), black step rails, and black emblem overlays. They had a $14k dealer supplement on the truck for that plus their market adjustment ($4k), so they were basically charging $10k for those items. When my Taco sales guy said hi I kinda called BS on the Tundra. He just smiled, shrugged, and said "It'll be gone by the end of the weekend. It's the last one we have on the lot." As long as people have more money than sense these prices won't come down.

Moral of the story for the OP, find yourself another dealer or wait until people stop spending stupid money and the prices back off a bit.

At first glance, that seems high. Do you have a copy of the window sticker available?

I paid ~48K out the door for my '22 4X4 OR DCLB. Full sticker price. Some dealerships are adding 2K to 5K uncharge. Autonation in Corpus Christi does not add upcharge, but, they force you to buy two appearance packages (about 1K).

Wow that sounds like a bit of "market value" dealer shady markup tactics.... there are trucks piling up on the lots in Reno... maybe not the tacoma ;) but others yes. Most dealerships around us do NOT charge markup anymore b/c a significant portion of individuals shift to more gas economic cars. But that's just our area.

Live in San Diego and looking to buy - saw one in transit to local dealership. Specs:
    TRD OR DCLB
    TRD PREMIUM OFF ROAD PACKAGE
    TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE
    SoCal Protection Package

What would you expect to pay out the door for that without any other upgrades?

    Thanks in advance!

The one I mentioned above is MSRP @ 45.6k and then they have a "SoCal Protection Package" (Door Edge Guards, Door Handle Guards, Nitrogen Filled Tires, Alarm) dealer add-on for about 1.5k which I think I'm gonna tell them to scrap it.

Why not buy out of state and drive back on a temp tag? Makes the experience more fun and you can do Tacoma guy things along the way.

Dealer a town over from me posted this on every single Tacoma, no wonder they have some available:
    "VIP TOTAL PROTECTION PACKAGE
    $4,995
Greenwich Toyota's Total Protection Package includes our best in class Safety Package
    Allstate Ceramic Paint protection
and complete interior protection. Also included is our VIP package upgraded to 5 years."

That is over the top imo. The parts themselves, ie the lift kit, can be had for $1200, plus install, and the rest of the parts can be bought separately. Where they can get you are labor hours, but even then I don’t think it’d be $57k.

At the end of the day you'd be paying 57K for a V6. I dont think its worth it.
