I am too. Though you can’t tell. I’m still not back to where I was at the gym. Kind of scary when you rack up a set of weights you usually do and you can hardly move them. Treadmill work had to be slower and less incline. Heart rate was still climbing to much.
My symptoms were really mild compared to yours. You have had a hell of a few weeks. Just keep working at it…

And if that isn't bad enough, now the Polio virus has been found in NY wastewater. No doubt the vaccine we all got years ago will need at least a booster. I remember a few years ago, an article in NY Times said it had been eradicated. I also remember thinking, if it appeared out of the blue, at some point it can again. I hope the CDC is on top of it. Is there no end to this madness?

The gentleman actually looks like a "Rockey". The name fits him.

Do you or Lynn have family in Michigan? We are off to the Thumb tomorrow.

Today is a music lesson, pick up some test strips at Harris Teeter and get a haircut. Once back home it is time to pack for Michigan.

My sister and her husband live just north of Detroit and my former daughter-in-law is from Traverse City.

And, good morning fellow Porchatonians! Slowly clawing my way out of the grips of the COVID monster.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Everybody get better quick, OK? Makes me worry!
My sis is in Michigan, and yes, it's rampant all right. Lots of carriers. Can't say anything else about that though.
Good eye exam, only tiny changes, and putzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz=nap. Supposed to get real rain tomorrow and Friday, so it's mowing day, pool maintenance, and some plant care.

Get better Mark! Just take it slow and stay hydrated. Most cases of the current variant are mild especially for the vaccinated.
My wife and I had it and it was like a bad cold for a week. The symptoms went away after about a week but we were both more tired and fatigued for about a month.
My doctor said that the current variant is so contagious that he expects the majority of the population to get it. Said there is hope that they will have a new booster by fall that is more effective against the new variants. Stay we’ll all.

In wisdom or beverage of choice?
Well, to live your life fully and I mean fully live in your life…. all we need to do is create smiles and memories!! (in a nutshell)

I’m a stout lover in beers and being a fisherman nothing warms me up better than sipping single malt scotch from the isles in Scotland, from my flask while belly deep in the river shooting a fly line at unsuspecting fish. (something about that smoked peat flavor, it’s an acquired one…lol) Laphroaig is my label

The only place I could have gotten it IMHO is the Gym.
And everyone there is really good at wiping stuff down so I don’t know.

You don't really have much chance of getting it from touching stuff. You inhale it.

You and I have something in common as no place I’d rather be than “standing in a stream waving a stick” as the author John Gierach calls it in his book by the same name. I’m mostly a Kentucky whiskey fan but a wee dram of Glenfiddich 20+ year old single malt is a nice way to end the day and relive the memories.
What home streams and rivers do you wet a line in?

    Evening all:
Welcome Fred, looks like you found a comfy spot on the porch.
What are you fly fishing for, and do you tie your own flies, I don't remember anyone on here ever mentioning that they tie flies.

They originally said not to touch your eyes, nose, or mouth because those are the receptors for covid. That's why I often wondered why masks were the solution to prevent the spread when almost everyone's eyes were exposed to any airborne covid. :notsure:
