Has anyone used or use just a bottom seat cover to prevent wear and tear/ crease on the driver side? Some like these:

My dad just puts a towel down.

When I bought my Tundra from him, he included it as well

No, but you can buy clazzio covers by the individual piece.

Really though, if you are going to protect one part, you might as well protect it all.

Agreed, it'll wear on the upper part just as much as the bottom.

I've never understood this obsession with keeping seats / everything else on a vehicle looking looking brand new. My attitude is wear it down to the fucking foam and then buy some covers when it gets embarrassing to open the door! But you do you brother!

American automakers used to produce cars whose interiors would wear out before their mechanical components. They knew that a worn interior would encourage owners to start shopping around; it’s called “Planned Obsolescence.”
Anyone who lived through that era (or who’s burned a hole in the seat ;-) can relate to protecting the seats with covers.

I bought 2 black towels folded them in half and laid them down on each seat. It works wonders. If you have a special date or something just throw them in the back and your hood to go. Lmao

If a certain former member of this site had seat covers, would his date at Applebee's have been so epic?

Am I missing something here? Why would you get leather seats then cover them up with fabric? Seems to me that it would make more sense just to get cloth seats to begin with. I will never understand why leather became a premium seating surface. It makes even less sense to me how we have evolved from Naugahyde back to vegan leather because leather is such a terrible seating surface.

im using a side-less seat cover from advance auto. i used to work there so i got then for cheap. they are black with gey accents. i used to have them in my Sonata and now i put them in the tacoma the day i bought her. they are good for protecting the seat against wear and they look decent enough to be confuse with leather seats looking from the outside and are not as tacky as the "universal full seat cover"
they look like this but grey instead of Tan.
