just did a 3/2 level and 287/70/17, think spacers are needed? I don’t want to unless it’s necessary. Thanks!

Spydertrax 1.5”. You will hit that UCA.

Way too close for comfort. You need spacers

I have no problem doing that if necessary, I just don’t want the tires sticking out no more than I have to.

From that pic and driving in a straight line, it doesn't bother me. I've been way closer on track vehicles in the past.

The wheel is attached to the knuckle which is attached to the uca, so it should never be closer or farther from it, but go lock to lock and see if it rubs anywhere along the way. If it does, you'll need to space until you have clearance. You won't rub where the ball joint is, but you might rub the front or rear of the UCA.

It will rub at full lock. CB6D56AA-649F-4091-9538-987836B4A29F.jpg
You can see the scuff still there before I put on 1.5” spacers.

Yeah.. you aren't on stock UCA's though. The OP's might not rub as bad.

I replaced my whole front end setup at once + wheels and tires and didn't have to deal with spacers. Same size tires on a 17x8.5 -10 and I don't rub on any of the suspension components. I'm on JBA's though.

If it rubs, you can probably get away with 3/4” spacers.

Yeah but those require replacing the wheel studs. Just get the spidertrax 1.25" and be done with it

I looked at 1/4” and 1/2” but then I’d have to deal with the studs problem.

TBH replacing the front studs is very simple. The Toyota Matrix studs are pnp and 1/2" longer. Would work for your application. Just need to remove the brake caliper and rotor and then hammer them out. Should take about 30 min to do the front if you have a nice impact to reinstall the studs.

Is there options in this situation? UCA or anything else?
