Simple spare 35”+ tire mount solution

Wanted to share a cheap and easy way to carry a spare tire (for those of us that cant fit them under the bed)

i used ATH fab tie down points that attach to the bed bolts, a ratchet strap, a cable, and a lock. Done a few weeks worth of freeway driving and trails and its secure.

This also seems like a better solution than mounting it to a third bed rail which could crack your bed over time

Worth it for me. I would rather it be where it is and still have plenty of room in the bed. If I tilt it theres barely any room left in the bed.

With those tires, you won't be needing a spare tire because it's unlikely to get flat. I only carry one when I'm heading out for offroad.

 

Hopefully I never need it but I would hate to slice my sidewall on a rock or tree branch.
