    I'm setting up a list of vehicles for my nearby (ish) pick and pull yards to notify me if they come in (NICE feature they are doing now, if it works). I set up tacoma

    2005-2015 of course, but are there other Toyota models/years with decent interchangeability to the 2nd gen worth a short drive to pick parts from if they get one?

    I know some of the 4 runner stuff can cross over, like some folks are swapping the heated mirrors with turns over.

    I think the lighted 4×4 switches are coming from fj cruisers??

    Some folks are doing brake swaps to get rear disks.

    What model and year ranges are worth while, or should I just stick to Tacoma? Think it's worth adding 1st and 3rd gens to my notify list? I don't think much from the 1st gen crosses over. It's pretty rare that ANY tacoma shows up in these yards. If they do, the jawas pick them clean in the first day or two!

    vwbuggsy, did you get anywhere with this venture? I have a Gen 2 2015 Taco 4WD AT 4.0L in need of the entire front drive shaft and would like to know what other models/years I can use when I go part shopping.
