Not sure if this is in the right place, but I did try to search and came up empty handed. I installed smoked fogs on my Tacoma and it just occurred to me this may fail inspection. Does anyone know for certain if New Hampshire does not allow smoked fogs?

I know headlights and taillights cannot be tinted/smoked, but I can't find anything pertaining to smoked fogs. The only information I can find is the height requirements and anything over a certain number of lights need to be covered while operating on a roadway.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the reason smoked headlights and taillights are illegal is that they are considered a safety item. Degrading the performance of a safety item is never a good thing. Since fog lights are not considered a primary light, they are probably not covered. Said another way, if you want to degrade the performance of them, it's probably legal - just not very smart.

Base models do not come with fogs so I would imagine smoked fogs wouldnt be an issue.

Thanks for the responses. I asked someone from an inspection shop and they stated fogs can be smoked.
