Hi everyone !

New here and need some advice ,hard steering, problem that I had a few years ago and all I did then is empty the fluid reservoir to check for a dirty screen at the bottom but seen nothing. Put the same oil back since I just had it replaced by the dealer a year before and the problem went away till lately . Don't ask me how that fixed the problem can't tell you, I have a work truck so this one sits in the driveway all week all year long including winters (Montreal , Canada). I know it's the pump or the rack but how can I be sure which one , no leaks anywhere no rust ( I have it treated every year) except the steer shaft but I lubed the joint and don't think it would cause this problem anyways . Beside that I have not done anything else yet ,wondering if you should see the oil in the reservoir move about when the truck is running or not . Don't want to take it to the dealers they have soaked me for enough over the years like $1650 for a gas pump which was nuts! Any ideas ?
