cruise control not working

    1999 Tacoma prerunner
    Cold air intake
    First post, recently my 1999 prerunner with 280k starting jumping rpm’s. It would jump from 2k to 2250. Then got on the interstate and found cruise control isn’t working either. Can’t tell if it would a fuse or something else

    Don the rpms relate to when you try to engage the CC?

    Is the light coming on the dash? First things to check, fuse and the brake switch.
