    Okay,
Once I finally got it all put together and installed on my truck I love the way it came out…
I love the way it looks and contours to the lines of the truck.
The rack is built really well except for some of the crappy hardware (more on that latter).
    Now the not so great.
I bought the rack direct from Prinsu off their website..
There was a limited time sale going on so I tried ordering it on a Sat but there was trouble with the website..
I tried again Sun because it was the last day of the sale and I received several notices to do so if I wanted the sale price…
This time the purchase went through.
I got a confirmation on Monday but for the first sale not the second.
So I call Prinsu and I talk to a nice lady who tells me the fist sale is cancelled and just the second sale went through. Great!
The next day Tue I get a confirmation for THE SECOND SALE…I call again…
Long story short it took more than 4 more phone calls and a crap load of emails to straighten that out…
    Next
After each phone call I was told the order was in, the rack was in stock and I’d see it in about a week…what should have been 1 to 2 weeks turned in to 6 weeks..
    Then
After I ordered the rack I found out that some of the hardware isn’t stainless and subject to rusting…
I upgraded and or painted the poorer quality hardware, another $20
The accessory handles I ordered came with Either the wrong hardware or NO mounting hardware..That cost me another $20
    Next
Poor shipping..The parts were loose in the box and there was a small scratch on the inside of one the side rails..
    Last
No directions in the box-online only.
You tube is great but it would be nice to have clear directions you can hold in your hand…
    Bottom line
Yes I nit picked a little because the bigger stuff was such a bummer…the little stuff just added to the frustration.
After all this was dealt with it’s a slick looking we’ll built roof rack and I’m happy with it.
It’s on my truck and there it will stay.
BUT for 1k+ Dollars I don’t feel you should have to deal with all the con’s that I did…
All things considered there may be better options out there.

Sucks you had to go through that. One thing I want to point out is on the handles, it doesn't have mounting hardware because you're supposed to double up on the crossbar mounting bolts.

Instructions, while it's nice to have a physical copy in your hand, I'm personally on board with online instructions. Saves a ton of paper.

    https://prinsu.com/wp-content/uploads/T2-T3-Cab-Rack-2005-Present-Install-Instructions-2-13-19.pdf

At least the finished product looks killer on your truck. For any other readers looking for an alternative to Prinsu, check out Martin Offroad.

It is on the product page for the handles but I can see how that would be easily missed, especially when frustrated with the other stuff. Either way, it's nice that it's finalized and you can enjoy the rack and put this behind you.

    NOW THAT’s some helpful information!
Makes sense to double up on the crossbars with the handle bolts.
I wish they would have noted that somewhere..
I know I could have called them (Again) and should have but at that point I just wanted to get it done…
I did Google and YouTube search it but came up empty…
Thanks for the info though it’s appreciated

I wouldn’t have been bold enough to order the handles in red, but damn it looks good along with the red in the bedside decal. Nice looking truck!

I hate paying high dollar for items that come with low quality hardware. These companies need to stop saving pennies on hardware.

:cheers:It looks great on your truck!!
In the grand scheme of things nowadays , 6 weeks is not that bad for a quality product.

All things considered, I think you made a great choice on that rack. Now go strap some kegs on that thing for the weekend!

Sorry you had such a hard time with the shop, I dealt directly with the original builder and he was pretty good about that before he sold his company.

Maybe a question for Friday but… when could you use the handles? Or are they for roof riding or for people with really long arms? I put custom tie down rings on mine.

Paracord grab handles on mine. I think I got them from YotaTwins. I use them when I'm taking off or putting something on the rack. I've also had people stand on my sliders and use the grab handles/roof rack to hold. Full on rolling military setup, haha.

Thank you…I went back-and-forth before making the decision to go red on the handles but I’m happy I did

The handles are multi use…They give me something more comfortable to hang on when I pull myself up on the Predator step and pulling something up and over to the rack…
They also make great tie down points and good place to run straps through..
All that and they just look so f’n cool! lol

Didn’t realize there was a hole in them to make a tiedown, that’s great. I couldn’t see them being anything but handles, they looked solid from the photos.

How did you wire up the rock lights? I don’t see anything running down the back of the cab, is it along the windshield on the driver’s side A-pillar?

I thought the handles had rock lights. I zoomed in again and I can see there is nothing mounted there.

Your not to off, I have seen lights for both the handles and rack cut outs..some are just decoration led’s and others are hi power spots..
Honestly I don’t intend doing any heavy off road adventures..
I pull a boat trailer, a small cargo trailer for the snow blower or tractor, and a trailer set up for our kayaks.
The racks mainly used for fishing rods and lumber…
