I don't know the name but on the left side of steering wheel is the button for volume control(left and right) but if using the radio pre-programed station : say I am on preprogram number 3 if I push up it goes to 2. in my mind if I push a up arrow it should go to a larger/higher number. kinda like in a building: level 4 is higher then level 3

I see what you mean but that would confuse me cuz it won’t match the head unit.

The wiper speed totally sucks. When it’s raining, I park the Tacoma and ride my motorcycle instead.

Only Wednesdays. They will only go faster then. Don’t know why they programmed them that way.

The answer is quite simple: the wiper speed on a Tacoma sucks so bad I refuse to drive it in the rain just on principle. I’d rather get soaked on the bike than give Toyota the satisfaction of knowing I’d use their suck wipers.

I prefer the randomness of the rain drops hitting my windshield as opposed to the repetitiveness of the wipers. Sure it’s a little scary not being able to see as well, but everything fun is a little scary. Just like skydiving or drinking & driving.

    Exactly!

Driving a Tacoma in the rain with shit wipers is just like drinking and driving.

I am genuinely confused right now, my tacoma keeps the windshield pretty clean, I been in rain so hard I couldn't see 4 or 5 car lengths in front of me but the windshield was clear.

In all fairness to the OP I picked up my Tacoma from the dealer in a washout downpour. The whole trip home I was thinking “man these wipers suck, I hope I didn’t make a mistake here with this truck”. They seemed slower than my old Tundra wipers. I changed out the OEM Toyota blades for whatever fancy wipers local auto parts sold me and I haven’t had a problem since. Either the OEM blades sucked or I got used to the Tacoma wiper speed.

Damn, I got lots of flack for this one. Happy Friday guys—I see a lot of you are coming out of the woodwork. I was just asking if there’s a mod or any way of tinkering with the speed settings. I’ll take that as a NO.

I’ll try new wipers and even waxing my windshield, but there’s tons of bugs around here that won’t hold for long. The stock blades should be fine if they’d just wipe at a respectable pace—Seriously, they’re the slowest of any vehicle I’ve ever owned. It just seems so unnecessary for them to be limited to such a low speed.

C'mon man, that'll never work. OP needs to add a second battery and wire it in series, 24 volts will really get those wipers moving. As a bonus his lights will be much brighter.
