I bought a TRD pro style lift kit grille from a local private seller on craigslist. Then I decided to order the TRD pro rigid industries fog lights from Toyota. After looking at severals pics on google I kinda just want to stay stock. Thoughts? Also does anyone know how much of an issue I'll have with the TSS if I decide to switch over the the TRD pro grill?

Go with your gut on which looks better to you. And don't stress too much about it either, what looks good today, you are certainly free to change your mind tomorrow.

In reality the sensor moves all of four inches from center of grille to the lower mount of the Pro/Trail. In the grand scheme, that should not be enough to ruin it's calibration. Most people have swapped without any issues.

You can always switch back whenever you want.

I guess it's a your mileage may vary. I had TSS issues immediately after switching the grille while stock, and the same when switching to the heritage grille. (I also have the TRD lift).

I’ve heard that if you do have the light come on the dash, it’s just a washer that adjusts the level of the tss. Course my trd lift is sagging quite a bit from a hidden winch and dual agm batteries. So my tss is just point straight at the ground. Seems fine.

I’ve switched the grille myself, had bilstein 6112/5160’s installed, and had no tss issues.

I tried the washer trick and the TSS error would not go away. I ended up dropping the truck off at the dealer and they recalibrated the TSS. No issues ever since. Many do report not having issues, I might just have been unlucky.

Thanks for all the feedback. So the grille that I bought is the one that comes with the TRD lift kit. The gentleman that sold it to me had a 2018 Tacoma he had already did the TRD pro grille so he had the dealer install just the suspension. He sold me the grille along with hardware and sensors. I'm wondering if I should use my original one or the one that came with the kit.IMG_0522.HEIC.jpg

mine apparently coded after the lift/grill change took them 4 hours to calibrate it. Plus they warned me they were going to have to drive it.

Well I did it. And it’s growing on me. Also I don’t know if it’s because I used Genuine Oem parts I don’t have any issue with TSS so far.796BB700-EFEF-4F10-948A-0DBB64EF5C03.jpg

It's probably because you didn't let the dealer touch it:fistbump:

Looks pretty darn tootin' good to me! Good decisions as someone who made the same ones.

Looks good to me too! I did the Taco Vinyl pro grille myself and have not had an issue with the TSS or front camera. Adaptive cruise works fine also.
