Kearney Lake Rd, labeled Trail 15 in the VMUTS map, is a level-1 dirt road that can accommodate travel trailers and RVs.

Kearney Lake camp site may be crowded. Secondary camp sites pending availability and final group size:
End of D8 logging trail (large site, accommodates trailers, but no lake access)
Gauvreau Lake (3-4 vehicles)
Cahill Lake (2-3 vehicles)(muddy)
Off Kearney Lake Rd next to bridge (3-4 vehicles)

Sat Sept 24
Do various VMUTS trails: 21, Redbridge Lookout, 24, 10, 65, 36, Hydro Lookout, etc.

Sun Sept 25
Air up, drive home

Trails are mapped on OF4WD and in the QuadON app: https://quadon.evtrails.com//#
QuadON ($5/yr) is an offline app that shows all the OFATV trails. Not too useful elsewhere, but has all the VMUTS trails mapped with the latest updates (it synchronizes every time you open the app on wifi).

Doable in a stock truck?

 

^Yep. Most of the trails are rated 2 on OF4WD.

Looks like the truck is ok and ready...

 

not even close hopefully tires tomorrow and then maintenance but either way I'm going. I asked Naz to come. We have to pick a spot for his camper trailer if he decides to come.

 

I think the last campsite we were at would be the winner.
Depending on the number of trucks we will have of course but it was nice.

We can give fishing another shot...

 

Stock truck friendly?

 

^Yep. VMUTS has ~30 stock-friendly level-2 trails and two level-3 trails suitable for modified rigs. As before, we'll pick our routes based on the capability of the group.

 

I would like to join. But I don’t have a membership or trail pass yet.

Do I only need the permit for this run?

 

^Yep you just need to buy the permit from the VMUTS site. It's a printable email receipt. Suggest doing it a couple days before the trip in case your plans change.

^^We're camping there. The number of people will determine the specific campsite
