I've been working on installing the Clazzio seat heaters over the past 2 days. What the youtube videos have quoted to be a "3-4hr project" has classically turned into a multi day exploration.

I've managed to install the heating elements and am now stumped after working on some of the electrical wiring... couple questions:

Can I effectively wire all 4 of the 12V and ON wires to a single wire that is at 0V with the truck off and at 12V with truck on?

Does the 12V and ON wires need to be on separate wires?

The 12V wire has an inline 20amp fuse, do I need to find another wire that I know is also on a 20amp fuse?

Sorry if these questions seem simple as I'm not very electrically inclined..

Clazzio has changed their seat heaters a bit since I bought mine. Honestly, if you aren't sure of what you are doing, read the instructions and/or call clazzio.

My kit only had (+), (-), and an Illumination wire. (-) or Ground is simple, I used a ground location under the center console. The (+) wires are each fed by a ignition switched circuit using fuse taps, I will check to see which ones later and post them here but yours may be different since mine is an auto trans. The illumniation wire is one the taillight circuit IIRC. I am guessing that the "on" wire in your kit feeds a power relay, is that correct? If that is the case, then you would provide power to the (+) and (-) directly from the battery and the "on" wire would be fed by an ignition switched source and prevent the circuit from activating while the truck is off. Again, I think a call to clazzio to get some clarification is in order.

    If I remember correctly.
I ran a wire from the battery to the red wires that have the fuses.(The relays for the seats is normally open so the power is not being used until it closes with the trigger wire)
The wires labeled on, I wired to one of the wires on the power point plug next to that Qi charging button, that is on when the truck is on. (This is the trigger wire, now the seat switches will work)
The night light wire I wired to the back of one of the wires that lights the buttons when the lights are on.( lights the seat switches when the lights are on only)
Ground I connected to a bolt under center console.
To get to all the buttons I took out the radio and was able to unclip the buttons from the back, and get to the wires easily.

not sure how many amps the seat heaters draw.
typically heating elements can be heavy draw.
could be that you might exceed the rated 20 amps if both seat heater and the stock accessory in the tapped circuit were running together.

Yes, you can wire them all together. “BUT” See below.

Does the 12V and ON wires need to be on separate wires?

The purpose of the 12v is to supply the heat power. Not sure how much the heaters draw. The ON line supplies on/off function. There is a relay somewhere?

The 12V wire has an inline 20amp fuse, do I need to find another wire that I know is also on a 20amp fuse?

See above. 20 amps on the seat heaters is probably over kill. However it is resistance heating. P=IxE. 240 watts = 20 amps x 12 volts

Sorry if these questions seem simple as I'm not very electrically inclined..

Do you have a trailer brake controller? If not you can buy the harness for that and use it for the power and illumination circuit. I installed a separate small fuse box to power mine.

I tapped into a fuse for the switched power. All it does is activate the relay so its fine to add it to an existing circuit.
