I made it through a half dozen pages, then realized there are a few more productive things I should get started on this morning
That whole Dodge truck transmission job was a major sidetrack to working on my Corvette. I'm going to mosey on down to the shed, crawl under there and bolt up the starter.

 

Even though on one hand it is entertaining to watch it is also unsettling, our now second generation cell phone and internet raised young folks don't have (and won't ever get) the experience to understand how terrifying the future looks in some ways.

I once read that road rage was a caveman instinct amplified with the instant response of an automobile.

Our caveman forefathers had to go and find a club and then chase down whoever they were mad at -- took some time and effort, helped them decide to pick their battles.

 

Maybe if the guy had bought a Hot Wheels instead of a Matchbox?

 

Well... finally got that stud out. The arrow points to where the stud was. Hard to tell from the photo, but it was very close to the belt/pulley and heater hose; there was just room to shove a tin can in to act as a shield (ignore the orl everywhere, that's just weasel piss I used to quench the stud when it was hot).


It's fugly, but considering where it was located, and that all I have is a 120v flux-core box... I'm okay with that!
