So , if I just change the shocks to 4600's , will I get the trd Off Road smoother ride .

The Sports have stiffer springs and thicker sway bar than the OR.

So it will not be as soft or bouncy like the OR,
but the 4600's will make the Sport a lot less "jarring" going over bumps vs the stock shocks.

Unless you are doing the work yourself it might be cheaper to by an assembled takeoff set of OR coilovers to try,
vs paying a shop to disassemble the front coilovers to put in new shocks.

But if you really want to experience a better ride, you're going to have to up your budget for much better shocks and spring sets.

From what I understand its the opposite. The OR has the higher springrate, but combined with a less "stiff" shock. The Sport springs are 50 pounds lighter (650 lbs vs OR's 700) but they are paired with the much more dampened hitachis.

But you are right, in order to get an ideal ride you need to replace the entire coilover set, not just one component.

The takeoffs are how to get the OR ride for cheap, going with a 5100 set or better yet, 6112s, would yield an all around more responsive setup.

I was told the springs are the same, shocks are different, and sway bars are different between the two. Sport having stiffer shocks and thicker sway bar.
