And the kitty is thinking that you are weird for not taking advantage of an empty box that he left empty just for you.

Also, @tacotoe ive seen maybe 4 or 5 different cats out in backyard. One i see going to and coming from neighbors (orange fluffy tom cat). I stepped outside and he didnt run off but didnt let me come near him. One tortie, one skragley black one and fluffy black one. So far they havent been a problem. And i dont mind them around keeping the mice situation down.

I put a little feed out and the tortie has eaten some. Its supposed to rain So i put a little out last night in a pile but not in a dish.

That cat may be fortunate it didn’t catch the mink. Mink are nasty aggressive critters that will take on and kill larger prey than themselves.

This post and the following comments regarding it
    Good stuff!
@wilcam47 be careful feeding the feral...that's how we ended up with 17 outdoor kitty:D
Delivered 2 more of the kittens to a coworker last Friday. Need homes for a few more but it's so odd that letting any of them go kind of makes me bummed a little. All of the last litter are very friendly and come running to greet us when we go out back. A few of them venture out front to the driveway in the evening and several have made friends with the dog.:)

Truth! - 14 here (3 not shown) with Zero regrets!

All rescued from the Chemical Plant I just retired from. I couldn't stand seeing them suffer with no food and dying a slow horrid death. Altogether over 4 decades, I rescued about 30 feral. Some adult, some kittens.

We saw a guy dump a bag of catfood out for a bunch of cats...20+ at a junkyard type place. You could see it from the fast food place we stopped at. Was hilarious

You saw the mink? I have seen alot of animals in my day but never a mink. Makes sense since they are mostly nocturnal, still pretty a cool spot if you did.

Yes, it was brief but had it in spotlight. About 1/3 smaller than the cat. Pretty cool looking, i dont know if the cat actually caught it but it(mink) was running scared
