Getting ready to install air bags on my 2022 TRD OR LB with topper.
Wondering if a rear sway bar would also be a good addition or not even necessary ?

A rear sway bar would be an excellent addition if you are primarily on road driving with the extra weight up top.

If you off-road, then the sway bar will limit some rear travel when articulating. You may find it easier to lift a wheel.

I would recommend installing what you plan to now and drive it, see if you find the truck swaying excessively or not. Then decide if you need a sway bar.

I recommend having a second pair of hands if you're doing it on jack stands. Not that it's hard, but there are a few nuts and bolts that are going to challenging (putting it nicely) to tighten by yourself. Gas tank, exhaust, and a wire harness are all in the way. The lack of room to work makes a mechanically simple install a giant pain in the nuts.

I'd also recommend doing the passenger side first, because you're not going to want to finish the job if you start with the driver's side. Another tip: don't try to cut the factory bump stops like the instructions say. Just remove them.

I'd look at Daystar craddles also. I've used them twice on my Tacomas.

    You're quite welcome.

There's one other thing...depending on how "complete" your tool set is you may need to pick up a socket and wrench. The large bolt is going to require a 1-1/8" socket and wrench.

Remove the spare tire for the install. Well worth the extra 2 minutes.

check and make sure the bracket for the U bolt on drivers side clears the fuel tank skid plate. On both of my offroads it would make contact. I had to trim the skid plate with a saw.

Copy that, I actually got everything installed and completed on Sat. I just put a All Pro tank skid plate on a few weeks ago, did not encounter any issues with clearance. The big pain was those four bolts on the back side of the frame bracket, difficult to get a wrench on those, but I got'er done. Pleased with the outcome and improved handling.
