Thanks for your assistance. I have a 2003 taco prerunner, standard steel and black plastic bumber. I haven't been able to find any detailed videos.

It takes like 5 minutes and 6 bolts give or take.

Super easy, you'll laugh once it's off.

    I don't have a Tacoma anymore but here's a picture to show what's underneath once it's off.

Old pic I took when I was installing an aftermarket bumper; here's the crash bar (that's also removable). You'll see brackets with nuts welded in facing outward. Those each hold 2 bolts on either side that hold the bumper in place.

If you take a quick glance at your own setup, you'll see the remaining nut or bolt I think more towards the rear by the wheel well.

Pretty easy, lay the painted piece (bumper cover) on blankets to prevent scratches.

Did you not see the exploded diagram?

It's a 5 minute job; look at your truck and you'll get that "aha" moment. It's pretty funny actually.

    Understandable.

Please refer to my picture; you'll see I circled a bracket on each side. That bracket has 2 nuts welded on there, that's where 2 of the bolts (per side) attach the bumper to.

I forget the exact location of the last one but it'll be the same on the other side once you find it.

The best way is to follow the assembly that you just detached, and look for another mounting point. That'll be it.

Fortunately a ratchet and appropriately sized socket is all you'll need.
