    Hello, gurus! From "search" and what I can't seem to find or fix fix, I'm hoping you gurus have an easy fix for me;

    2018 Tacoma TRD Sport w/ Nav. The picture is what I get most times I use USB cord to plug my iPhone 11 Pro Max with the most current iOS on it. That message will drop down three or four times until I plug/unplug multiple times. Until about three to four weeks ago it works GREAT! Even on the rare occasions I use Bluetooth. But mostly(I'd say high 90% of the time) I use USB plug in.

    I've tried a new cord. Tried a new Apple cord. Never stops charging the phone and never has interruption, so I'm hoping it's not a connection issue. Often times when I use my phone for podcasts or music I'll get a black screen on initial plug in when I select "audio" then the button on the screen to allow me to use my phone with that message in the picture and no functionality. If I unplug and plug in at the USB port or phone multiple times it will allow me to listen and even use my phone screen to pause or skip, but not on the radio screen. If I press "pause" on the radio screen there will be a brief interruption of sound but then sound will resume, almost like a "skip".

    I did check to see if there is an update to Entunes hoping that'd correct it, but it the most current version as of now.

    Help?? Please?? And thank you ALL for looking and offering input.

    Oh look, another mod....
    This thread my help, they suggest getting the latest iOS update (if you haven't already gotten it): https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250793944

    Also, have you tried other iPhones? Have you tried Android phones? I'm curious if the problem is just for this one phone or all phones. There are many threads on this site about the 11/22 Max Pro's having issues with Entune, wired and wirelessly. I think Toyota hates iPhone's?

    Not sure if it'll help but try a radio reset. Press volume and tuning buttons at the same time until the unit resets, about 3-5 seconds.

    Just to update... it's my phone. Tried the gf's phone and it worked right away. My phone has progressed to the point that I have to plug and unplug it multiple times to get it to play. Won't pair via bluetooth now either.

    Guess it's time for a new phone..... :(

    My 2019 does the same thing with most phones.

    Does your dash USB/accessory port also work intermittently?

    No, it works fine. The connection to charge is never interrupted. It's just my phone it seems. Although... tossing a new receptacle at it would be a lot cheaper than a new phone(which I really don't want).

    HAHAHA!

    So... the phone decided it wanted to not allow me to use the volume buttons to turn it up and down and was stuck in silent mode. Okay, I resigned myself to go get a new phone. As I was headed over I noticed the Apple logo on the screen of the phone as if it auto updated itself. Mind you, I've been checking on updates and tuning the phone off and on. All of a sudden on a whim I plug the phone back in through the USB and WHAMMO!! Working beautifully!!! And has been since then. Perhaps threats of replacing the phone has corrected the issue... for now.

    No shit. Tacoma's hate the iPhone. The sooner you switch to Android the sooner you'll be happy.

    I'm in IT and just hate Apple products in general...lol. My first computer was an Apple back in '87, but that will be the last Apple product I ever own. I hate them and Adobe with a passion!

    We must be twins. I'm in IT and loathe Apple products. My boss thinks it's funny to send me iPad/iPhone tickets or has me sit in on meetings about our Apple Business Server.
