Do they take anything apart for CRC frame treatment?

I was wondering if they have to take anything apart to do the CRC frame treatment?

No, but they are supposed to add some plastic caps over some holes.

 

I would hope they drop the spare tire to get up inside there

 

It goes inside the frame rails.

 

They also apply the compound along the seams where the frame has two steel pieces laminated together. (inner surface starting at approx the front door.)

 

Yes, most techs remove the front wheels, you also remove most plastic caps on the frame.

You drill holes for the new covers for the frame channel.

The spare tire is supposed to be dropped during the inspection to check for rust.
