Attention Flagstaff members!!

The last time I visited Flagstaff, I was with my dad, who has since passed away. While we were there, we visited a little coffee shop called Late For The Train and my oldest daughter had hot chocolate with him. Point being, it was a special experience, and one of the last experiences my daughter had with him. I knew I wanted to remember the place, so I bought two of their mugs, including a red campfire-style mug with the coffee shop logo, the style of mug that’s short and wide. It's been my favorite mug ever since.

Well, my wife broke the mug the other day doing dishes. Couldn't get too upset because stuff happens, and I figured the shop might even have an online store where I could buy another. No such luck, and I've since called the shop several times, left a message, no one ever picks up or calls back.

So...long winded story to ask if anyone could be so kind as to buy a campfire style mug there and send it to me. I'll compensate you handsomely. And if you like bourbon, heck we can make a deal. Anyway, if this is a possibility, please shoot me a PM. Thanks!

 

I'll be in Flagstaff next weekend. If no one beats me to it, I'll get you one. Assuming the place is still open..

Oh man, this is way too close. Super fan of the place. Been there enough times to lament the closed locations, but didn't have an image of the location just entering town (snow caved in the roof, maybe subway now?).

 

Wait, there’s more than one location, and one of them got destroyed in a snow storm??

 

Yeah, that was a number of years ago - but the round sign spot, that was a casualty of Covid. It was an old gas station, had a deck and picnic table out under the pump awning. Super liked that spot. Downtown, they moved from a parking area they didn't possess to one on the street.

 

The old gas station is a coffee shop again. They did a good job with it. Food is good, has some light camping type essentials like snacks/sandwiches/local beer etc. if you forget something on the way out of town. New owners/staff are super friendly and pull a decent shot of espresso.
