Hey guys, did some searching but didn’t really come up with anything about this exact issue.
I have a decent bit of up/down/in/out play in both my CV axles, thinking the diff seals are bad but not sure if there could be more issues that I can’t see inside. 4wd still works fine. Also have a bad squeak when the left front wheel turns, it goes away about 10mph. Any thoughts? I may just take it to a shop but want some input first.

Some in/out and up/down is normal.
Even more so for the drivers side.
I would suspect the differential is bad.
Are you seeing an leaks where axle goes into the differential?
If not, I’d leave well enough alone.

I would be looking at the CV Axles and wheel bearings.

Wheel bearings will need replaced, cvs are in decent shape. And yes, I’ve seen some leaking where the axle goes into the diff.
