BAK Revolver nightmare of a wait time

I ordered a BAK Revolver x4s on March 1st and was told 16 weeks, which in and of itself is a crazy wait time but whatever I ordered it.

15 weeks later I call and ask if it's still on track and am told it'll be about another 6 weeks and am given a date of August 16th. That comes and goes. Most recent update is that it's at least another 8 weeks before any of the x4s are shipping out. I have zero faith that it'll actually be shipping in October and it'll get pushed back again.

So if you're in the market for a cover, and the BAK Revolver isn't sitting in front of you for a point of sale purchase, I'd look for something else.

Has anyone else been dealing with delays to this level?

 

I had a similar experience with A.R.E. earlier this year when ordering a bed cap, but I’ve never had an issue like that with Bakflip and I’ve owned two of their bed covers.

I think it’s an industry wide materials thing. I ordered my A.R.E. cap in February. They said 3 months. 3 months later they said they had no clue when it would be done. Fast forward to august and I finally got the cap after a 6 month wait.
