    A serious down side, the way I see it anyways is Southern Californias power grid can’t even stay up as it is during the summer.

    Imagine if everyone was charging their cars at night? The fact also remains that said power grid mostly runs off fossil fuels anyways…so…why rush reshaping the infrastructure…? Especially over such small gains relative to modern cars fairly good emissions. If anything, the first things that should be EV’d should be things like public transport, and eighteen wheelers.

    …but noooo…California apparently is worried about stupid things like chainsaws/small engines and low emission vehicles.
