I still have to get it done. I was in the process of getting all the sound deadening ordered and together to do the door while I have it open and work my way around the interior.

That and being busy and being hot asf out hasn't helped. Got some things to do this weekend. Might try giving it a go but I got a few things going on already.

We were having the same problem with our 2011 Rav4 rear passenger door. The fob would not unlock the door. This was last April. So I did what everyone does, an internet search. I was about to tackle the problem and it started working. That was back in June. It's been working fine since. :notsure:

I found some threads where people have just replaced the motor. It's like $6 VS like $180 for the assembly (approximately, I didn't shop around much).

Let me know if you get around to it. I suppose there are probably some YouTube videos I could check out in the meantime.

I could have done an internet search. But, why bother, when I can just ask you guys? :D

It can't be all that hard. Just need to confirm it's the motor instead of some obscure electronic part that is failing

Anyone have a recommendation for brake pads and rotors? Mine are due to be replaced at 120k miles.

Big brake kits if you have the coin and plan on doing things that need beefier brakes to stop from falling off the mountain / crashing at the end of the race track. Stoptech, BBK, Wilwood, etc. Be prepared to :spending:

4Runner big brake swap is the cheap option. I'm 2nd gen so I don't know all the 3rd gen specifics but search around, they are popular threads.

If you want to stay the same size and just replace parts I think the hot setup used to be Stoptech cryo rotors. Pads: OEM or ceramic if you don't want lots of dust; Hawk/EBC semi-metallic if you want more bite and dust. Beyond that, choosing brake pads types/brands is like asking what your preferred flavor of motor oil is so I'm gonna leave that alone...

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Look for the friction number/coefficient. You want 33% or 1/3 "stopping power".

For heavy off roading, bias closer to 40.

EBC Greenstuff (and their other products) are kickass. Powerstop has become a big player recently. Nothing wrong with OEM either.

Get dual disk rotors (like you have). If possible, get your stuff as a kit from the same manufacturer.

Always recommend a brake bleed and fluid replacement too. Since you're an Off Road, you can use your ATRAC booster for a one man bleed job.

So every once in awhile something comes across the radar that makes you question everything you think you knew.

    This is not that thing.
I present the Bripe, or Brew-pipe.
Question is: Is this the ultimate in overland coffee making for the kool kids? Or just a crack addict coffee maker?

I will leave it to you to decide.

I watched that whole thing. I share in your confusion on what this is. Generally that means it’s a gimmick and utter rubbish. I’ll stick with my Aeropress for now.

This does seem weird. Shows on Amazon for $100 but other places $25.

I’ll stick with my higher volume French press.

Thanks guys! Just ordered EBC Greenstuff pads and OE premium rotors from Summit. I'm not familiar with using ATRAC or crawl control to bleed the brakes, would you mind posting a link? searchbar isn't finding it for me

I only made it to him sitting on that log touting his crack pipe while looking uncomfortable (not sure what was up with the log) and realized that the way he was dressed, he's never been any closer to the woods than the back deck of his "friends" house.

It's not using the systems it's the fact that your 8-track relies on your electronically boosted brake booster.
