None so far. It's a work truck.
    Hi,

I'm finally part of the Taco world like many of my friends. I bought my neighbor's '04 Tacoma SR5 for a part-time work truck. 175k on it with new frame installed, but lots of rust as he towed his boat and launched in salt water regularly. Needs loads of work, but the price was great, especially for the current times.
I hope to keep her updated and going for many years to come.

    Geno

Welcome to TW. A lot of good and knowledgeable people here.
One thing, it’s very doubtful the rust came from launching a boat in salt water. During boat launching the truck shouldn’t come in contact with the water. Maybe the rear tires may be slightly in the water but that’s it. Perhaps if the truck spent years parked next to the ocean or a salt water bay that may cause some rust from the salty air.
Hate to say it but a new frame (due to rust) and lots of rust on the truck is not good, in fact very bad.
Out of curiosity what state are you in?

    Hi Sprig,

I'm in Maine. There is a lot of salt used on the roads in the winter. I don't think he washed it much. There's a lot that I will be replacing in the next year, it looks like.

    Thanks, Geno

Living in Maine the rust is likely from the road salt. Still if the body and other parts have lots of rust that would be concerning to me. Anyway enjoy your Taco. Hope it gives you years of trouble free fun.
