So I installed 5100s, 885s, JBA UCAs, mid dakars over the weekend and it turned out GREAT. But alas over several days my front end has sagged quite a bit so I am here asking to see what can I do. I have a 2" rake difference that I'll like to get closer to 1". My 885s are set at 0 and it is my understanding that I should NOT set them at any higher notch. The most straightforward solution I could find is to swap them out with 887 but I'm quite nervous that it'll just sag again. Any ideas? Or should I just ride it out for a while and see if the dakars will sag? I did install 75 lbs worth of skid plates and don't plan to have any permanent load in the back. One photo is right after lift where I thought lift looked perfect and second is the 2" sag (although probably more like 1.5" in photo at the time). Thanks in advance!!

Did you get the top plate with the front coils? The only way to break dakars in is to load them with a shit ton of weight a few times. It does work though. Flooring works good or a backhoe bucket if you have one of those laying around. lol

I didn't get any top plate. I could but I figured if I was gonna rip it down again I'll just install 887 unless I'm misunderstanding the ride quality of a top spacer? 10-4 on breaking in dakars! I'll play around with it

    Keep the rake.

There is a reason a truck comes factory with a rake. So when you use it for truck things (IE a load in the ass end) that it doesnt run nose high nearly as bad.

Make sure to get it aligned now, and again when it finally settles. If you want to down the road lift the truck a bit once the front springs have settled I see no reason why you couldn't rock one notch taller up front and keep the same already pre settled coils, The lift amount will be pretty much exactly as Bilstein describes (.85in of lift on first notch from zero)

Did you take the right after the lift photo right after putting the truck on the ground without driving it? If so the springs havnt sagged to the second photo the suspension simply was able to unbind itself by being driven.

Some of this Some of that
Pretty sure the leaf springs take longer to break in and sag than the coils up front do.. get some sandbags back there or something. Personally I like the look with rake more than leveled

From what I've read it's a major no no to mess around with any settings above 0. Something about OME 885s not being compatible with Billstein 5100s and it'll ruin the suspension. Good call on getting it aligned when it's all settled down! Thanks for that will do. Yep took the first photo before it saw the pavement

Thanks all for your input! I'll keep the rake :) I do haul heavy stuff from time to time so it could be more functional after all

I got a 1/2” spacer w my first set of OME’s but I also had the more mild spring rate. I think 882 or 3. Can’t remember. But, here are 2 trucks w same setup. One got heavy loads all the time and one didn’t.

    No weight ever

Thanks. I’m not really into the rake. Def prefer rear lower or even. Trucks def drive better lower in rear slightly.
