    Greetings, all.

    Just got one of these:
MAX Modular Cargo Max, Rack Mounted Locking Chest

and I'd like to make it water tight. It's billed as weather "resistant" but i'd like to seal it up. Besides sealing up the obvious holes, has anyone had success making one of these water tight?

    TIA,

    Dave

I think you're fighting a loosing battle there, and if anything I would leave any existing drain holes open, water will find a way in and if it doesn't have a way out it's going to get soupy.

If you need a dry box it's best to mount a pelican case or similar like Harbor Freight's Appache cases to the frame, something that's "waterproof" to begin with.

Thanks, for the suggestion. I had considered that, but i'm not looking to mount any additional boxes to the frame.

I'm looking to see if anyone has waterproofed this particular box.

I have plenty of pelican/hardigg/SKB/Apache cases to carry my gear in, but there are certain things I want to leave on the truck that I'd like to keep in that box.

Unfortunately, I'll have to figure something out.

My tools and the other stuff i stored in there got soaked in the last rainstorms we had. Some of the tools are rusting (i need better, tools, I know).
